[VIS] Re: Adelaide Contemporary Art Gallery

First post! I had been watching Adelaide Contemporary with a lot of interest from interstate, and it’s said to see it’s probably dead if the government is fighting the design competition. Shame to squander such a stellar set of architects. I doubt that the National Indigenous Gallery will get up ei...

AFAIK the Northern Expressway is already the M2. What about these: -Playford Expressway -Dunstan Expressway -Oliphant Expressway Or, have the northern section above Sir Donald Bradman Drive as the Playford Expressway, and the southern part the Fleurieu Expressway. Wasn't there a proposal months ago...

Plus - interrupted views of both the city skyline and parklands, which will never be built over. Another major advantage.

It's smack bang opposite a tram stop. I'd live there in a heartbeat.

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

We need to stop dwelling on the past and move on. .... We need to remember the past, and never forget the sacrifice of our brave young diggers. My choice, as I've said before but may have been forgotten, is Charles Sturt Freeway, as it goes through the City of Charles Sturt and ends up becoming the...

Every time you think this building is bad, just have think about some of the Brutalist architecture buildings gone wrong from the 70's. Wakefield House comes to mind, or the Telstra exchange on Waymouth. Really?, I absolutely love Wakefield House. I wish it was double the height so it would make an...

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

GTM being just out of the city instead of on a farm 2 hours away is already a huge concession. Oakbank Racecourse was 2 hours away? Were you on your bike? GTM was devised as a country (meaning in the country) music festival. Venues are Bendigo (Vic), Maitland (NSW), Townsville (Qld), Bunbury (WA). ...

As mentioned recently, small renders are on the window of the Citi Centre entrance for it's upgrade, captured this earlier, looks good. If you look hard enough you can see faintly in the picture the Romeo's Foodland entrance in centre, seems that the main entrance will be off the Mall rather than P...

My Gosh Wingard is a talentless hack. SA Sports Infrastructure's waned in the past 16 years? Has he not seen Adelaide Oval? The Libs need to get this development right to avoid another Hindmarsh Stadium situation. Well we did go from 2 national stadiums to 1...... ;) Edit - but in all seriousness, ...

I agree, this entire extension has been an fucking disaster ascetically. Aside from the better station design, there is no comparison with how well the Vic Square to City West extension happened.
Agreed.
