Some interesting photos of the piers for the Southern Interchange which appear to be recent:
Looks like the new Superway northbound to Salisbury Highway eastbound ramp.

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

There's enough width on the southbound bridge over Marion Road to support an additional lane and also onward to the Reynella exit using existing shoulder/emergency stopping lane space and operating that section of road carriageway as a managed motorway. This will be done on a section of Kwinana Free...

Federal project funding to 2021/22 on a state by state basis from the recent budget is outlined in the following document. http://minister.infrastructure.gov.au/mccormack/releases/2018/may/budget-infra_01-2018.aspx#attach Essentially, no construction money post Pym for the N/S corridor till after 20...

Re: News & Discussion: Road Issues & Traffic Congestion

An amusing read but I note no mention of the Superway structure towering over the top at South Road. The decoration in the design was perhaps not in keeping with the overall tone of the article.

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects

With regard to bypassing Port Wakefield or additional lanes along the existing alignment through the town, the following from August last year has some costings, Seven councils are fighting the bypass option, proposing instead an alternate plan for a double lane highway through the town and further ...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

The Bolivar Road interchange looks like an attempt to integrate two main objectives, a free-flowing trumpet design with a northbound exit/entry to the OTR fuel stop. The southbound entry from Bolivar Road will presumably be braided (grade separated) from the southbound exit to the Hodgson Road round...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects

I wonder if the state Libs went to their federal counterparts asking for part funding for the bypass and the feds said no hence the cheaper option of the CCH overpass over the existing PWR. I note the render shows 2-lanes in each direction for PWR under the bridge but the impression I get is that ex...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects

The Liberal opposition have committed to part funding a single lane southbound overpass from Copper coast Highway to PW Road at the intersection north of the town. https://www.theflindersnews.com.au/story/5194564/overpass-pledge/ The Wakefield Regional Council has since weighed in suggesting in addi...

A DPTI Capital Works Program fro 2017 has Regency Road to Pym St delivered by the end of Q4 2020/21 (June 30 2021). https://dpti.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0004/335533/Forward_Work_plan_020817_HQ.pdf This is subject to funding which I'd suggest is likely given the upcoming state election. DPTI...

Page 47 shows the bridge elements being built as part of the current project. The Globe Derby interchange bridge isn't one of the nine highlighted.

The GD interchange is a future design element that's not part of the current build.

that's definitely the PRexy interchange, I'm assuming they've changed the design to something like this That's essentially it. [U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

I've juxtaposed the map of the Southern Interchange from the NC PDF file onto the latest Google Earth imagery for the site. Some things line up, but there are evidently smaller modifications to the final product (and hopefully not massive errors instead!). Old design. Current works match better to ...

The big tease on the publication of the current design continues.

Interchange maps will be published early 2018 according to an update on the DPTI project page.

With recent information posted, it's worth reviewing the design elements relative to the August 2016 industry briefing (previously posted). https://gateway.icn.org.au/project/3748/north-south-corridor-northern-connector-project-lendlease?st=projects&psid=1468345768 Comparing with the southern interc...
