I still think the design is tremendously underwhelming however.
In person, it looks like plastic.

The Wine Centre cafe is criminally unknown in Adelaide.

Great food and obviously awesome wine.

Some great news stories coming out of SA at present.
Yes, there are, but they have been for the previous 16 years too .....
Yes, I've met a lot of them.

Most have good jobs in Sydney and Melbourne now.

[PRO] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

I'm fine with the council objecting to this development. But why do they need to be so childish about it? It's not like putting advertising on the Opera House or anything like that. The AHA are even worse, they were against RCC, until it moved, then they weren't. Our local organisations need to grow...

The Australian has an article saying that SA is getting the Australian Space Agency and it will be located here. 100 staff. Can't see how that is a bad thing. In the rag now https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/australian-space-agency-will-be-based-in-lot-14-the-old-royal-adelaide-hos...

This development, and that of the Adelaide Oval Hotel are not increasing the existing developed footprint. IF either of them carved into more greenspace, then surely that would be the time to have a justifiable whinge. The plaza was a public park even if concrete. The public were welcome to enjoy t...

Well, if anyone has concerns they want to raise with the project team, come along to the open day at the Polonia Sports Club at 2pm today. Complaining about the project on here achieves nothing. Did you end up going? And anything noteworthy? By the looks of that video it's going to be a bridge over...

If i remember correctly, the Councils control of the parklands is due to the State Government giving it the powers. So if the State Government has committed to it then its happenening regardless of what the council thinks.

From the info I posted above, make of it what you will. The loan from SAFA of up to $42m will be provided at a standard market rate on a 30-year principal and interest arrangement. As the landlord, the State Government has provided the necessary works approval following consideration by Cabinet. 30...

I'm happy for Government to have buildings on the park lands.

But not private enterprise plenty of land for them to do that
