Does anyone know if work has started on the Ramada hotel?
Not as of a couple weeks ago, at least.

Story on Ch9 news tonight about how far behind this is.
Public realm designs are not even finalised yet apparently... Walker to appoint a builder for the car park within weeks.
I'm just hoping that the original vision is realised, and that we don't end up with some watered-down rubbish.

This is starting to look really striking when travelling south along King WIlliam Road.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I always laugh when I see this; head to London in which if you travelled from the otter suburbs into the centre of town, which could take over 20mins, you’ll be lucky to get a seat. At most you stand for 20mins, it’s a service that makes sure you get to town, it never says you’ll always get a seat....

That petrol station isn't very old (maybe 5 years?). Oh well - stupid decision allowing it to be built there.
Good riddance.

Pleased that Bedford isn't being touched.

Hopefully Peter Van relocates close by.

From this afternoon. A bright day, which made it tricky to photograph on a phone. A damn beautiful building, no matter what angle you view it from. https://i.imgur.com/KY7IlEwl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/r2ysQBNl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CLeb0uPl.jpg I also had a go at heading to the top of the Target c...

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

I'm not the biggest fan of this project in a long-term context, but it has its merits.

Once complete, this will complement Adelaide Oval nicely.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Hopefully a three-car electric set is enough to address capacity issues that arise in morning and evening peaks before and after Mawson Lakes, which is easily the most heavily patronised station on the line. Most passengers can get a seat before there, but after, it is not possible.
