[SWP] Re: 69-71 Light Square | ~55m | 14lvls | Residential

Apparently this is called “Spence on light” now but I can’t find any new renders or info. Yeah "Spence" a shitload less money on the design Named after Catherine Helen Spence I would assume. The social political reformer portrayed on the five dollar note. There’s a statue of her in Light Square. Ch...

Woods Bagot director Thomas Masullo highlighted that the building's design was intentionally restrained to complement the existing streetscape and nearby heritage buildings. Don’t see how this tower complements the existing buildings. Perhaps up to the podium, but it looks bland. The tower section ...

The current Government should so build this , North Terrace, West Terrace, South Terrace, Hutt Street
Not Hutt Street and South Terrace. The loop should go down Pulteney Street or Frome Street then Angas, Gouger, Morphett Streets, then Currie Street, West and North Terrace.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

There is only 1 airline flying to Bali, that is Jetstar. Jakarta is probably not a market suited to Adelaide. Malindo starting provides a vast network of destinations in Indonesia. Really? When did Tiger quit the route? Why isn't Jakarta a market suited to Adelaide? And what about Surabaya or Yogya...

Did Air New Zealand fly in one of their leased 777-200s today? Hard to tell with the naked eye and from a distance.

Being such a wide building from the west/east, it should compliment the similar built forms of the SGIC Building and Hilton Hotel in Victoria Square, when viewed from the airport. Shuz it’s “complement”. Actually it’s not that much wider than the Kodo tower. In respect to SGIC and Hilton it’s talle...

$10m just to build a roof that will only get demolished in Stage 2? This Liberal Government cries service cuts and budget deficits and then blows $50m of our cash on vanity projects that serve no real return to the taxpayer. Ummmm, where did anyone say the roof will be demolished for stage 2? $10 m...

I still don't understand one thing - are the "reflective glass panels" windows? Ah scratch that question - page 16 shows the "full height glazing" in the floor plan. That should look quite good Yes the floor to ceiling windows make this a winning design whether they change the cladding on the facad...

Anyone to grab the first pics of SIA's A350-900 arrival? Flight SQ279 is due at 09:05 but with favourable winds can easily arrive anywhere from 08:10 onwards.

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

If the libs were smart, they would have proposed a space museum where the new modern art gallery was proposed that connects to this proposal. Something with striking architecture, that is a world-class facility that exhibits all things astronomy and science. This site needs direction, a clear visio...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

North Tce is considered a boulevard also for tourists so it would be good if they could incorporate something for tourists (or even locals) to see or do as part of the new Space Agency/Lot14. It would be a massive let down if it’s just offices with no interaction with the public. What exactly they ...
