[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

I’m not usually critical of other opinions on this forum but as someone who has been to the AO at Melbourne Park twice in the past 3 years and two night sessions at the Adelaide International so far this year I have to question whether the posters above have actually a) watched any lower level ATP ...

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

While it's fantastic that these minor upgrades have been enough to attact an ATP event back to Adelaide, and a WTA event to Adelaide for the first time (and a fairly stacked WTA event in terms of talent too), Memorial Drive is also lucky that it's sandwiched between a stadium with spare facilities ...

How many people used to go to the fashion festival ?
For a boutique event, lots actually. It was also a platform for local designers to start to get noticed.
But you'd actually have to leave the house to know anything about tourism and events

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

ABC News has a report up about the push in Perth to upgrade declining tennis facilities and the competition among the capitals to get a piece of the pre-Aus Open fixtures. Don't mind the mildly exaggerated headline: 'When Rafael Nadal won't use the court at Perth's State Tennis Centre, it's time to...

Unless there is a train included in any plans. That's the dream - but car use will still win. So it's simply wiser to just avoid allowing silly development like Buckland Park, Mt Gambier, etc. Adelaide suburbs shouldn’t be built so far out. Developments at Two Wells for “country living” should be f...

Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use

Nah, South Australia doesn't need any more dodgy servos. South Australian, family-owned businesses are "good" in some contexts. We seem to like buying food and wine from them, why don't "we" like buying our fuel from them? I was thinking about this the other day. OTR recently tried to change the la...

Its a stock standard building. Nothing great about it, nothing all that bad either. Simplistic more then anything else.
Just wait till the monstrosity next door goes up.
