Re: Prospect | Churchill | Main North Road - Development & News

The only other complex I could see suited to this site would be an IKEA, seeing as they are yet to expand out of their Airport site, this would provide a good second base for them. If the tafe at modbury closes that site would be ideal location for IKEA. Former Bunnings at Windsor Gardens Former Ma...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

A simple tway style busway could be a suitable replacement for the north east busway. To extend to Golden Grove why not use one of the sides of the median strip for the tway. What's the maximum permitted speed for two-way operations on that road? Maybe it's camera lens distortion, but that looks aw...

Golden Grove Road should have bus lane in each direction between North East Road and The Grove Way then on The Grove Way between Golden Grove Road and The Golden Way.

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network

Whilst the Gawler Line Electrification is happening they should close some stations, it will speed up train services and reduce station maintenance costs.

Stations that should be closed
Dudley Park
Kilburn
Greenfields
Parafield Gardens
Chidda
Broadmeadows

Re: My Basic Vision for Adelaide: From a Planning Perspective

Apartments need to be built with sound proof walls if people are going to be able to live in harmony, I have stayed in recently built apartment in Sydney, you could hear water, talking, flushing, stomping. New houses can be noisy too if they are built too close together with no thin walls. Many road...

I think Southern Expressway should be named Onkaparinga Expressway. The Northern Connector should just be Sturt Highway

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours

Mount Barker as I recall is exempt from urban trading hours rules, on public holidays Coles, Woolworths, IGA and Foodland open their doors, I think aldi and kmart majority of time open too. Many of the small stores dont open even though.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

I agree Claybro. A tram to North Adelaide, Norwood or elsewhere other than the CBD will make it more attractive to visit those areas. I don't go to Glenelg often, but when I do, it's because the tram takes me there. There's an accessibility factor about trams that buses can't match. Glenelg would b...

Re: News & Discussion: Buses

The State Government should focus on Adelaide's bus system. Purchase high quality buses not Scanias, look into double decker bus to be used on T228/228X , T721/721X, G22 and 254X. Extend some Go Zones to 9pm on weekdays, introduce more bus lanes I.e Anzac Highway, Marion Road Bus shelters at more st...
