[PRO] Re: 1-8 North Terrace | 108m | 2 x 32 Levels | Apartments

Curious to know if the PANSOPS increase of 21.3m is a universal increase across all flight zones, or just to this particular zone?

The Masonic Lodge proposal likely hasn't factored in the change to flight paths as a result of this development and thus could go up to 181m.

[CAN] Re: Hove Level Crossing Removal | $171m

I would think a half-and-half option would be the most cost effective, feasible and practical solution. It would require property acquisition of 1 through to 33 Park Terrace, reroute the road slightly to the south, dip it halfway under, and raise the railway line half way over, so that you still get...

I must be in a NIMBY mood today. This one should also be rejected on the basis that it is an overdevelopment of such a constrained site. Not to mention the blank walls, shoebox apartments, poor visual amenity.

I don't know if this a legally valid reason to reject an application, but this one should be rejected on the basis that it does not maximise the development potential of a catalyst site.

[PRO] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

They should convert the Morphett Bridge level of the convention centre into the western concourse for the railway station. I reckon it is doable. Just need to cut out the floor slab to align with the platform ends and put in stairs and escalators and lifts. Bit of an engineering and logistical chall...

Isn't about way overdue that the VSQ Submission 2010, Adelaide Development Review 2008 and Adelaide City Vision 2030 sub forums were archived? They're all 10+ years old now.

[VIS] Re: Passenger Trains to Mount Barker

we basically need a tunnel from torrens park/brownhill creek up to stirling/crafers and bypass all the blackwood crap lol Untitled.png As simple as it is to draw lines on a map, as stated previously, trains need a gradient of 1 in 40 to travel safely at a decent speed. Sure, the gradient can be ste...

[REJ] Re: 1-25 South Esplanade, Glenelg | 46m | 13 Levels | Apartments

Bad call. This was an entirely appropriate development given the existing highrisecontext of the area along the foreshore. A more inappropriate development is that 14 storey building in Glenelg North just down the road from the Watermark Hotel, there's literally one high-rise on that road and it's s...
