Slice of Brooklyn has closed down, according to their social media accounts COVID up to its old tricks again I suppose... Don't think so - they traded through COVID, and the closure was sudden. Some rumours circulating that it may have been a dispute with centre management that resulted in the clos...

[PRO] Re: [PRO] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m

To be honest, with the amount of infill occurring in this area, Ovingham, Dudley Park and Islington should all get a makeover. Compared to the Seaford line, the Gawler line has seriously been neglected. I've thought this every single time I've been past these stations. They're all very under par. M...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

So...2 weeks before Keolis Downer take over the trains, and they don't have enough staff, and haven't got regulatory approval to operate?

Good to see we still get a WTA event post-AO as well.

Being a 500 event it should attract some good quality participants.

Nando's has closed on Hindley Street.

Sushi Hub is opening a second mall shopfront where the convenience store used to be next to Charlesworth Nuts.

Melbourne skate shop Fast Times has opened on Gawler Place (south).
Dang! That means there's no CBD presence for Nando's now right?

Looks like work is progressing incredibly well on the South Rd bridge over Regency Rd.

The first span was mostly in Monday. I believe the second span goes up today

Did the promised third-seat removals on the diesel stock get done? Was announced back in May that COVID had advanced existing plans that would see the work done over June. Haven't been on the diesel lines at all this year so I have no idea.
Yeah the third seat's been removed from the diesels

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Drove over Elizabeth Way bridge last week-no work whatsoever has started from Elizabeth Station heading North? I feel like the bulk of the project will be done in two stages: Adelaide to Salisbury, then Salisbury to Gawler Central. That was how the project first started. Stage One (est cost. $152.5...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Curse Tony Abbott for canning the funding back in 2013 for this project. I recently moved from Salisbury to Wayville so I am free of the commitment to get an extra early substitute bus, but the project team and AdelaideMetro have done incredibly well to provide these services. They have generally b...

Gawler line blowout means more months on buses. Commuters will be put out for much longer after the government reveals a major overrun on the Gawler rail upgrade.
