Re: After the North South Corridor..
The next corridor that the State Gov should focus on improving is Tapleys Hill Road. Grade separations: Tapleys Hill/Trimmer Tapleys Hill/Grange Roads Tapleys Hill/Henley Beach Roads Tapleys Hill/Burbridge Roads I couldn't agree more. Journeys between the north-west to the south west shouldn't need...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
I understand your concerns. It's what I was getting at when I made my comment. A big concern in Australia is the huge cost in infrastructure projects. For example, tunneling in Melbourne for the East West motorway was about double what the Swiss can tunnel through the Alps for...in bigger tunnels. ...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Do we really need to have that many tram lines though? Just look how the last extension went, over 100 million for less than a kilometre of track and plagued by defects, plus would anyone other than inner-city yuppie urbanists take a tram all the way to outer harbour when there is a train that coul...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Krispy Kremes is opening in the former Bing Boy next to Subway on Rundle Street. Article in today's Advertiser stated that The Foodland is due to open In March. But that's only a few hundred metres from the Krispy Kreme on Grenfell Street. How many do they think we need? Also, another Krispy Kreme ...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Next, there's already commercially produced trams which can run 2km without overhead. Thus, a tram could run into Adelaide Railway station with no overhead required at all. This makes cheaper overhead, even more economic compared to heavy rail which would need overhead all the way. Something tells ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Does anyone know why the trains aren't running tonight? Is this something to do with the Gawler electronication or just regular maintenance. Are all lines affected or just the Gawler line?

Re: Opening up the western end of Adelaide Railway Station
Isn't the new uni buildings blocking that? Perhaps it is behind them and that picture just omits showing them. Yes you're right. That render uses the space before the Uni of South Australia building was constructed, so they should really re-do the render....the proposed Adelaide Arena would not ful...
