Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Speaking of lost underground spaces, did anything interesting use to be in the basement of Station Arcade? https://www.realcommercial.com.au/leased/property-basement-station-arcade-lower-level-52-54-hindley-street-adelaide-sa-5000-500373499 When it opened it was a Food Court with a variety of eater...

Re: News & Developments: Other Suburban Retail

[/quote] I'm in the outer northern suburbs. I have the choice of 4x OTR, 2x Liberty, Coles Express/Shell, Caltex/Woolworths, AMPM, and X-Convenience will be opening soon on Womma Road. Presumably me and my neighbours provide sufficient custom to support all of these shops. Two of the OTRs in Smithfi...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

I noticed many shops seemed closed in Rundle Mall around 630pm tonight despite it being Friday late night shopping e.g. Apple Store closed, Reject Shop, Koko Black, most shops in Regent Arcade and Adelaide Arcade, plus several of the smaller shops nearer Pulteney St. Is this the new normal post-Covi...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Adelaide Convenience 24/7 and Bakery/Big Grill opened about 2pm today on the corner of Topham Mall and Waymouth Street. Seems to have a big focus on take away hot foods but does have indoor and outdoor dining. Also seems to be the best coffee loyalty card around...get every 3rd coffee free! https://...

[U/C] Re: Flinders Rail Link

Makes no sense. I guess we will have to wait until the timetables comes out... Could it be trains will be cut back to hourly on weekday interpeak? That would allow about 12 services each way each weekday to be reallocated to evening and weekend services? Added to the 44 new services this totals 104...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

New "The Big Grill" on the north east corner of Topham Mall and Waymouth Street looks like finishing touches being added. Seems to be a large convenience store with a grill/takeaway and coffee/bakery. Will be open 24/7 so will add some more life to this area. The convenience store between CIBO and G...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Some tweaks to AdelaideMetro timetables and stop numbering effective from tomorrow - doesn't appear to be much but normally there is more than a day's notice (appears AdMet only posted it today).

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

The regional coach logo looks promising. Integrating passenger information for the coaches run by LinkSA/Stateliner/etc into the wider AdMet network and website just makes sense. If I understand it correctly, operation-wise they're losely similar to the city buses; the government releases a contrac...

Re: News & Developments: Mawson Lakes

Interesting to see Renewal SA are selling the land at Mawson Lakes that includes most of the bus interchange and all the car parking. I gather various easements and Land Management Agreements will be in place to ensure ongoing public access. I presume a developer will do some form of commercial and ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Some areas lose their public transport completely. I am also unhappy with the loss of most of the night buses... I have used them often in the past, even though I had to walk an extra 15 minutes to get home from the nearest route. Now it will be more like an extra 30 minute walk. Or, pay the price ...

All the details are on the AdelaideMetro website now
Where? I have looked and not found anything.

What I did find is this report on it -

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

Looks like Schnitz won't be back for some time. Their Facebook page has advised they'll be closed for the foreseeable future. I find that odd given their product was easily available as take away. I imagine many cafes and restaurants in the new bit will close up without cinema action and dine in op...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I don't understand what they mean with "Accelerate the introduction of a range of new Apps that provide customers with better real-time information about their public transport services to make it easier to find information". They already have MetroMate, and real-time info works with Google Maps, A...
