I have been informed that M & B have secured this, which surprises me. Time will tell.

A balcony with no balustrade. Designed to ensure it's easy to get rid of drunk party guests? Especially if they try to steady themselves against the pole that isn't there.
Looks like a parapet wall with a simple handrail on top.

Cannot explain the columns though, or lack thereof.

'Cheap' seems to be the most commonly used word on this forum.

Most of which by people who have no direct involvement or vested interest in such projects. Probably never even set foot on a commercial construction site for that matter.

75% of the building and it's materials come straight from China. Karma. :D Whats karma got to do with it? The hotel chain didn't build this tower. I am well aware of that. It was a general statement - this is the price you pay for being cheap and not supporting local/national industries. Just wait ...

Sommariva is a joke and he should be stripped of his builder's license.

I can guarantee that you will not be jamming 6-7 international students in one apartment. If it's anything like the rooms on 124 Waymouth Street, the entire apartments are about 4m x 4m including a kitchen and bathroom. Wouldn't even be enough room for a small desk. How you wouldn't feel claustropho...

Are you sure it isn't just a mid-year sale? My wife shops at Burnside (and Zara from time to time) and she promptly shut me down at the mention of a closing down sale.

does anyone know what the estimated finish date is ? I would think very late 2021 Sent from my SM-J730G using Tapatalk That's utter garbage. Assuming that they build one level a week, then this should nearly top out at the end of this year. Accordingly I would think they would be hoping to finish e...

Not at all surprising to see something is broken... and the LED strip is no orphan on this project. I would suggest the following reasons; a) Kyren site staff are incompetent b) Kyren cut corners and their builds are second rate c) Kyren do not like to pay their bills therefore work is incomplete d)...

Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development

Can anyone explain why the developer of these low-rise buildings at Hurtle Square are allowed to block off entire roadways for their construction sites? Hurtle & Co just down from this has literally blocked up that whole corner both in terms of parking and thoroughfare, the development across the r...
