spot on. and according to the maps shown there will be on/off at Richmond road. So there is huge capacity east west from the north south motorway. Industry traffic will be sent north towards Truro. From there they will head to the industrial areas around Wingfield and the second city of Elizabeth. ...

McIntyre Road has always had significant problems. It gets cut back and new bitumen every few years to relevel it. The same work will likely be due again by 2023. Clearly the road has structural problems but no one has done better than continued patch work to relevel. Just wanted to point out most ...

no option to get off at cross rd which is the biggest road we have that runs east west? Isn't Grand Junction Road bigger in every way? Greenhill Road has the biggest volume. Followed by Regency Road also with more volume than Cross Road. Cross Road is the 4th biggest east west road. Although I thin...

Re: Cheap Airport O-Bahn

A structure in a creek doesn't sound wise.
Would it not need to be checked for damage, debris and organic growth after every time it rains?
How do you cross roads like South Road?
Privacy and noise pollution for properties?
How do you promote a service that may or may not be running whenever it rains?

The bridge is in and in use.
Underneath looks fairly complete also.
Foot bridge is in and looks complete.
Most landscaping looks complete.

That would also lock in an inevitable new xconvenience knocking down the target building across the road.
The kids could have a fuel stop at the end of their Rundle Street car loops.
Not a single downside to this idea!

Bars? Isn't there only the Malt Shovel Taphouse? Or do we include the bars within casino? The problem with the Adelaide Riverbank precinct is there is 1 bar, 1 seafood takeaway place and a coffee shop 200m away at Adelaide Oval. And all 4 things mentioned there are run by the same group. The existin...

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b

There will be infill and there will be new land released. People will buy what they want and can afford. Maybe they need proximity to the city, maybe they need remoteness from the city. Buckland Park to Gawler to Aldinga Beach is surely all destined to be suburbs. There is plenty of that land to the...

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b

Stamp duty, council rates, levies and general tax increase due to population increase surely does something to pay for infrastructure. People could live there for the rest of time, the cost of a train line or whatever seems cheap. Not that trains have at all been a popular public transport service i...

I thought the train drivers had a clause in their employment contract with the Government that they cannot be made redundant. Pretty sure I heard there is 100 train drivers that are still employed by the Government sitting in a waiting lounge for their next train driver job. While the private employ...

Plus was built as a competitor to the Plaza. It sold to the Plaza and the original owners probably made money on the way to its death. Yes the Plus has no clear purpose to exist now, its purpose has come and gone. New money goes to things like this: https://www.news.com.au/national/south-australia/w...
